I liked this book because it did revel teenagers lives, if a family member was to die, because teenagers are tempted by smoking and defacing public property, when you don’t know what to do. This is why I liked this book, especially the twists and turns during his journey on figuring out on how to handle his mothers death.

The main conflict in this book, is my main character trying to become un-normal (according to his family, friends, and psychiatrist), because of his mother's resent death do to a three year illness. He has shown no apparent action/response to his mother's resent death witch is classified as un-normal, in that situation.
My character has made some bad decisions like smoking and drinking to help him relieve his pain/stress from his mother's resent death. He also is having trouble at home as his father has become invisible, and is never seen around the house. Martin sister is always mad and with her boyfriend. So he has no body to talk, at home, and because he has no one to talk to at home is one of the reasons he made the bad decisions to drink and smoke.
Some good decisions my main character Martin has made would have to be talking with his friend eggman ( he is real!!!! ), talking to his two favorite teacher ( Mr. Miller And Mr. HMMWMT ) and he also made a website called emerso.com witch also him to talk about his feelings without anybody knowing who he is.
If you where my main character, would you have done anything different from what Martin did, to over come his mother resent death? Why?

Shoulder The Sky
If you knew, Martin what decisions would you tell him to do, that would help relieve his stress or make him un-normal?
(What I mean by un-normal. He is acting like his mothers death didn’t even effect him. So people are trying to get him to do things like smoke and/or drink witch would bring him out of his normal.)

My book is about a young man named Martin Emerson who is trying to learn how to cope with his mothers resent death. Early on in the book Martin starts seeing a psychiatrist named Dave, because Martin’s friends and family think that he is acting to normal for his mothers death. As he starts seeing the Psychiatrist he was told to try something that would let out his anger and emotions. So Martin was encouraged by his math teacher Mr. Miller, who heard about his problem, to do things like smoking, get tattoos, and do public gravity to relieve his anger withdrawal, that was created from his mothers death.
Martin also makes a website called Emerso.com, with his friend the egg man who helped him build it. The egg man has been Martin’s best friend since elementary school, and is well know through out the area for his amazing computer skills. This website allows Martin to keep his identity a secret, as he gives people advice on general topics that happen in everyday life.
If you where faced with the same situation as Martin, would you stay normal like he did or would you find ways like smoking or tattoos to remove the stress and pain from his mothers death? WHY?
