At the end of the book, Martin does find things that help him over come his mothers death. He started a website to talk and boast about his feelings without anybody else knowing that is was him, witch helps him deal with his mother’s resent death. Also going on the family trip to Alaska, where his mothers always planed on going when she got better, was also good for Martin, as he meet new friends and found new things to do in Alaska that he wouldn’t have been able to do where he lived ( ex. Hiking). The ending of him figuring out how to deal with it was realistic in my opinion because he used his family and friends in the end to help him, witch in real life I beliefs you would need your family to get over something like that.
I liked this book because it did revel teenagers lives, if a family member was to die, because teenagers are tempted by smoking and defacing public property, when you don’t know what to do. This is why I liked this book, especially the twists and turns during his journey on figuring out on how to handle his mothers death.
